McClellan, George B., Maj. Gen., LETTER OF THE SECRETARY OF WAR, TRANSMITTING REPORT ON THE ORGANIZATION OF THE ARMY OF THE POTOMAC, AND OF ITS CAMPAIGNS IN VIRGINIA AND MARYLAND , UNDER THE COMMAND OF MAJ. GEN. GEORGE B. McCLELLAN, FROM JULY 26, 1861, TO NOVEMBER 7, 1862. Washington: Government Printing Office, 1864. First ed. brown buckram hardcover, 8vo (9.125 x 6.125), very good/n.a., 242 pp. Very light general wear, more concentrated in the usual head and tail of spine and the corners, light foxing to front and rear end papers, general light age toning throughout, some evidence the spine may have been repaired at some point, unsure, if so very well done, gilt titling on spine a little faded. Still a very solid, readable and collectible copy. Quite the distinctive book indeed.
