With the extended edition of the Virginia volume (contained herein), which Harwell of In Tall Cotton singles out as, "the outstanding volume." This set contains the following volumes: Vol.I, General History; Vol.II, Maryland & Virginia; Vol.III, Virginia; Vol.IV, North Carolina; Vol.V, South Carolina; Vol.VI, Georgia; Vol.VII, Alabama & Mississippi; Vol.VIII, Tennessee; Vol.IX, Missouri; Vol.X, Louisiana & Arkansas; Vol.XI, Texas & Florida; Vol.XII, General History.
